Body Slimming Poses
Although the camera can make anyone look at least 10 pounds heavier, we know a lot of tricks to create the illusion of a slimmer silhouette. And there are many ways to do this:
For a Slimmer Body
The key to looking slimmer in photos is to give the illusion of an elongated body. You can do that by standing straight, rotating your hips to 45 degrees away from the camera and crossing your left foot towards the camera. Shift your weight on your back foot, bending the knee slightly so you don’t look too stiff in pictures.
For Slimmer Arms
Now, if you are self-conscious about your arms, never keep the arms too close to the body or clasp them behind your back to hide that underarm jiggle! Putting your arms too closely to your body will make your arms look larger in photos. Our advice is to lift your arms slightly out to the side each time you get your picture taken. You can also put one hand on the hips for slimmer looking arms!
For Slimmer Face
The dreaded double chin can ruin any picture. Thankfully, it is pretty easy to avoid! To banish double chin while filming, try elongating your neck. You can do that by moving your head slightly forward, subtly lifting your chin. Another great trick to preventing double chins in pictures is to touch the roof of your mouth with your tongue every time you’re getting your photo taken.

America's Next Top Model host Tyra Banks knows a thing or two about striking the perfect pose. One of her best pieces of advice on the show is to “smize” or smile with your eyes. If you are uncomfortable about giving a full on grin on camera, you can always let your eyes do the talking! Smizing is a great way to avoid a stiff or limp face so you look picture perfect even when you are too shy to work the camera!
No time is more critical to achieve perfect skin than your wedding day! That’s why The Wedding Mode recommends taking extra care of your skin weeks before the wedding. Remember, no amount of makeup can cover up bad skin. The stress of planning a wedding may cause an occasional breakout so always keep an acne ointment in handy to dry out pimples. Indulge in weekly facials and nightly skin treatments a few weeks before the big day. We also recommend drinking at least 8 glasses of water every day to keep the skin hydrated, plump, and youthful looking.
You can also fake good skin by using a long wearing, HD foundation. Choose a shade that's closest to your skin tone so you'll look absolutely ethereal in your wedding photos.
Finally, a good photographer has the means to make your skin flawless in pictures too! Our wedding photographer brings together perfect lighting and sophisticated tools to highlight your best features.
